Speech/language therapy for children to age 18
Are you worried about how well your child speaks? Speech/language assessment and therapy are available after school hours. Sessions may cover
- Pronunciation
- Language: understanding, expression himself, and handling social situations
- This may include understanding of language needed for schoolwork.
- Understanding of time and organization of materials, as appropriate for his age and situation.
Although a fear of public speaking is not a language impairment, special sessions may be held specifically for this in children. If this is the case, please mention this specific concern when making the first appointment.
All assessment sessions are a full hour. Therapy sessions are a half hour or a full hour.
Parents/guardians are expected to stay with the child, and will be taught the easy techniques needed for home practice. Parental involvement is an important part of a child's progress!
I offer a warm, caring atmosphere, where activities are relevant to the child's needs and interests.

All sessions are private pay, with payment required before the sess ion.

Checks or money orders made payable to Business Speech Improvement are also accepted.
If you plan to file for possible insurance reimbursement, contact your health insurance plan first to determine the exact coverage in terms of conditions, length and number of sessions.. You will also need a physician's prescription for speech/language evaluation and therapy if you plan to file with insurance.
