Business Speech Improvement focuses on intensive, customized training in verbal communication skills. Specific skills include foreign and regional accent modification, presentation skills, executive and sales communication skills, leading effective brainstorming facilitation sessions, and helping technically talented people communicate with their customers.

Business Speech Improvement was founded in 1991 by Katie Schwartz, CCC-SLP in Reading, PA. The company moved to Chattanooga, TN in 1999. Ms. Schwartz has a master's degree in speech/language pathology and earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She is the author of four books. Three, for speech pathologists, are Talking on the Job:The World of Corporate Speech Pathology, Sound Stories for Adults, and Alternative Career Options for Speech-Language Pathologists. The fourth is an e-book for college students and their parents, called Portable Parent (www.portableparent.com). She has also written 5 concise e-books for "help in a hurry", available on this site and has developed the Sense Cues© Kit. A public speaker, Ms.Schwartz is also an adjunct professor at the University of TN at Chattanooga.
